Naturally, all the text was in Japanese :p
Dragon Quest II did not have the intro of Moonbrooke's sacking we saw in Dragon Warrior II
Some religious content was censored for the U.S. release. In the Japanese version, the Houses of Healing have a Christian cross instead of a Jewish star. The priests also look different. (A screenshot of a priest may be seen in the screen shot section, Town of Hamlin)
