DRAGON WARRIOR 2

Information

Released: 1991 By Enix For the Nintendo Entertainment System (Originally Dragon Quest II in Japan)

(Description taken from the back of the Dragon Warrior 2 box for NES)

As the leader of our group, you will set forth with your allies. By combining your skills, you can defeat even the most fierce groups of enemies. Long ago, Erdrick the Great defeated the Dragonlord and recovered the mystical ball of light in Alefgard. This valiant warrior then took Princess Gwaelin's hand in marriage, and together they founded the country of Torland. Their union was blessed and Gwaelin brought forth two sons and a daughter. Under the rule of the children and their descendants there was prosperity throughout the land for generations. One day, however, this peace was shattered by the wicked Sorcerer Hargon. Now it is time for you to claim your birthright as the Prince Of Midenhall, for Erdrick's blood also flows through your veins. By seeking out companions from your lineage, you must restore order to the land. With the Prince of Cannock and the Princess of Moonbrooke at your side you are about to embark on a most adventurous journey. Use your strength and cunning for you are about to enter the world of Dragon Warrior 2.

-snip-

That's strange... Erdrick didn't marry Princess Gwaelin.. His descendant did from Dragon Warrior 1. Looks like Enix of America goofed on that :) Also I remember seeing ads of Dragon Warrior 2 also proclaiming a contest. There were prizes like a Gold Statue of a Golem, Cloths with all the weapons on them and the keys from Dragon Warrior 1. Anybody know anything else about this? Thanks.

Comments: A good game... It is not as complicated as DW3 and 4 but it gets very tough at the end. I personally like Dragon Warrior 4 the best because it is well.. just plain great! Dragon Warrior 2 is a good beginner game for those who are new to the RPG Realm. A good upgrade from the original but not the best of graphics it is still a great game and I would recommend buying it whenever I could.

Tips on Gameplay
Look for the Mirror Of Ra East of Moonbrooke.
The Cloak Of Wind is in the tower by Moonbrooke.
Don't get the Sword Of Destruction, while powerful it sometimes will stun you in battle. Keep Erdrick's Sword until you find the Thunder sword in Rhone.
In Hargon's Castle use the Charm Of Rubiss immediately, then walk into the center room behind the throne via a door next to the throne in the wall which you can't see. Go into the room and stand in the center in the white stuff. Use the Eye Of Marloth and you'll be transported to Hargon's Castle.
Two Flying Water Cloths - As you know it takes the Dew's Yarn and Magic Loom to make the WFC. These will always be in their respective places, as long as two conditions are met: 1. You don't already possess the item you are looking for; that is you can't have more than one Dew's Yarn or Magic Loom at one time. 2. You don't possess the WFC. While the WFC is being made, you won't have the items or the WFC, so both conditions are met again and you can go retrieve the 2 items once again. Once you have them again pick up your WFC and then talk to him again to make another! Submitted by adams4@InfoAve.Net
